Shigeru is inspired by traditional Japanese approaches to luxury and craft. Shigeru draws upon the ethos of Kintsugi, an artform where imperfections are welded together with gold and celebrated as a source of unique beauty. Comprising a harmonious blend of wool and silk, Shigeru invites a tactile experience where the surface's visual appearance is contingent on spatial light and the viewer's position as they move around the rug.
